“Slight” to “Enhanced” risk of severe storms for portions of listening area later today

MASON CITY — The National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center says the KGLO listening area could see a “slight” to “enhanced” risk of severe weather later today, with the “Enhanced” area on their prediction map reaching the far southwestern portions of our listening area. 

Thunderstorm chances increase by late afternoon and through the evening hours. Some of the storms will likely be strong to severe and capable of producing large hail and damaging winds. A few tornadoes are possible as well.
